stealth17 Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I think this is the best section to put this thread. Sorry if its not. Anyways, I need a 25ft USB extension cable. It can be A/A M/F or just an A/B that plugs into my usb hub. Either is fine, but it must be 2.0 spec. I've looked all over the internet. The best I can do is find that superboost thing that uses cat5e which is cool but it costs $120 so its outta the question. Thanks guys! Donski Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 What I did was to buy a couple of 10ft extension cables. I did a quick search at Newegg and found this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16812149018

Smoken Joe Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 The rated limit is less but I was able to get 26 feet to work for me also with two high quality 10 ft extensions. This was on an unpowered device though there is no garentee that it will work but at 10 dollars you could certanly try would not do this with critical data but you can try it cheaply enough. Kandoo Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 It does make sence that Home Depot would carry large amounts of it because of all the construction workers going in there to get there supplies for home contracts. And it should be cheap.
Guest oRiOn Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I have seen somewhere on the web a picture of a 20ft.+ cable with a little device in the middle to extend the range. Sorry I can't be any more of a help. -Will

Angry_Games Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 a couple of 15ft cables with a powered USB hub in between them would probably work...but USB pretty much craps out after about 15+ feet on it's own
