rustynator Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Is there any way to use the 2nd PCI slot for your graphics card instead of the 1st slot? Would there be any difference in performance? When I plug the GC into the second slot, it doesnt seem to work properly, so I think I must need to change a setting somewhere. UncleDavid218 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Just enable the SLI jumpers and you're set, and no, you won't notice any performance decrease.

UncleDavid218 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Umm I'm pretty sure but I wouldn't hold me to it. If anything you can try.
rustynator Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 So, all you need to do is put the Jumpers in the SLI positions and it works? I thought you would need to alter a setting in the bios as well.
UncleDavid218 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Not that I'm aware of.

Thats it. You might want to uninstall any drivers for the GPU first, then reinstall them after you switch it. And yes this works for Ati cards too.
