First at all I`m not newbie so please don`t sent me to any guide as a response, I have already read them.

The specs of my rig are the ones on my sig.

I used the Ultra-D for about a year and I changed it for the expert 2 monts ago.

I had a lot of trouble stabilzing (take me one week) it at first but when I found the correct settings it worked flawlessly for two months.

then I tried to improve my overlock (was 2.8ghz (280x10 multi, 3-4-3 memory, 4xHT)) and I could go without trouble all the way up to 2.97Ghz (270x11) superpi, 3dmark, battlefield 2, all worked, then I tried to increase the memory speed (295x10) and I started having a lot of trouble again.

First the system freezed when loading windows. I put my settings back to the ones that worked for me for two months.

I tried to start windows and again it freezed when starting.

I tried to start it in safe mode and it started, I put scandisk but when restarted it freezed again before scandisk started

I put in the XP cd and used the recovery console, and used chkdsk /p it fixed some errors but when i started again the system it freezed again on loading

I put in the XP cd again and reinstalled XP (repair xp)

I restarted and it worked, it was late yesterday so I didnt used it.

today I used it normally, but it give me windows errors and drivers (bluetooth) errors that SP2 was needed. I installed SP2, restarted and again it freezed at loading.

I tried default settings but the system hang after the raid status appeared, I set the memory timings and it started but again it freezed on loading windows

I tried several bios settings but noting could be used to start windows, I tried again to go into safe mode but it freezed too.

I tried to reinstall windows (with several bios configurations) but it freezed again

In the mean time I started having problems with the bios, one "Checksum error", and several times it restarted before loading windows (not freezed as before)

I tried to clear cmos "guide style", unplugin the power cord, removing the battery, etc.

When I tried to start the computer again (after the clear cmos "guide style") it stop booting, it stays on the DFI splash screen and just one led stays on.

I unplugged all the hardware, and tried again... nothing

I tried with just one stick of memory... nothing

I tried with another memory... nothing

I tried to clear again the cmos... nothing (quick clear, long clear, "guide style" clear)

I changed the battery... nothing

all that I can get off this mobo is the DFI splash screen

I`m wondering if this is really an "overclocking" mobo as it is so hard to stabilize and one of the secrets of a god overclock is to try several settings, if you do so with this mobo most surely it wont work again. :(

When you upgraded to this mobo I am postitive that you knew that it would not be a walk in the park as far as getting it running to your hearts delight. I myself knew that and I have had many headeaches with it but still I persisted because I knew that I'd love the challenge. This Expert board is my fourth of the DFI's. My advice to you is take a step back, relax, gather yourself and take a deep breath. Take everything apart and do the build like it was the first time and go from there. I can almost feel the frustration in your words. Just be patient and I'm sure you will find the sulution when your mind is clear.

Yes I know that, but without having the option to enter the bios it`s not a fair situation as I cannot do anything to make it work, I`m going to clear the bios again "guide style" (last time it was just three hours) for the whole night I hope it helps :(
