marinecommando Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Hey all, I have a problem with the DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DI had delivered yesterday. When I put all the components together that I bought it worked a dream - booted straight from the windows cd and I have managed to do all my windows updates and install some games. Being an tweakers board I wanted to see what options are available to me in the bios. This is where I have a problem. When I was pressing delete on my keyboard at the DFI splash screen it was taking me in to the Nvidia Raid Bios where it get: nvidia raid ide rom bios 4.84 copyright blah blah blah. detecting array... and it just sits there flashing. I have tried a combination of usb, ps2 and usb>ps2 adapter keyboards, holding delete and presssing it repeatedly and this is all it takes me to. Its almost as if delete is the wrong key to press and so it ignores it until is gets to the raid part. Either that or pressing delete is invoking the raid bios instead of the normal one. I have tried to reset the cmos described in the DFI forums: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...04&postcount=24 (power out, battery out, moved clear cmos jumper, have left all this morning (6 hours) then battery back in, jumper back, and power back in, boot holding insert key down.) Now when i boot I dont get the splash screen so i can see the post screen showing me the bios version, cpu / memory type etc etc. It says at the bottom "press del for bios" (paraphrased) or esc to choose boot device. Choosing esc works beccause I end up getting the boot device screnn. Choosing delete still takes me to the nvidia raid bios and has me sitting there waiting ad finitum. My actual machine itself is working fine, but the whole purpose of me getting a DFI board is completely defeated if i can't get into the bios to tweak it. Any recommendations? i can't wait to start tweaking!!!! Cheers in advance MC

red930 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Did you try a completely different keyboard? You must press F10 to enter the RAID BIOS so it sure sounds like a keyboard problem.
