Problem with USB peripherals

Recommended Posts

I recently fixed a major problem with my build. I had received my RMA replacement mobo, and I was seeing if it worked. It didn't, until I realized that, somehow, I had gotten some Arctic Silver 5 on the pins of my CPU, and that it was bridging some pins together (bad). So, I took a toothpick, scraped between the offending pins, and my computer POSTed. Unfortunately, even with USB mouse and keyboard support turned on, my USB keyboard and mouse don't want to work. Is there any good reason for this (or has anyone else had the same problem)?

Thanks.
