Seasonic S12 + DFI

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm running with a DFI nf4 Ultra-D and a seasonic S12 600W. The motherboard doesn't boot up. I saw that the Power led behind the PCI slot blinks 2 or 3 times each time I switch on the power supply.

Does somebody have an explanation to this weird phenomenon ?

I also noticed that when the led doesn't blink the system boots up,where as when it blinks, the system holds on not ( 4 diagnostics LEDs on ).

By the way, I noticed also that when i :

1/Remove the 5 jumpers block (

2/Switch on the PSU

3/Plug the 5 jumpers bloc on either 3.3 or 4v position

4/Boot up the motherboard

the computer boots up and works better than ever.

Quentin :D

If you read the thread I linked, the issue seems to be with the "Power-on draw"

Translated: The PSU has a circuit to confirm that something is actually hooked up to it (a draw or load). When the power on button is pressed, the mobo does not draw sufficient current, so the PSU assumes that there is nothing connected and shuts down.

You need to read the thread and if it matches your problem, contact Seasonic. It's a known problem that they will resolve

^^ power led when u switch on the psu? power led when u swtich on the motherboad? that doesn't make much sense thats probably why you're not getting the answer you're looking for. basically.. u gotta chose, keep the psu or keep the motherboard, you can't have both in the same system. use search. /thread
