gatobava Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Does anybody know what BIOS version came with the LAN Party Pro875B (rev. A) I bought this board sometime on 2004 and have never updated and wanted to get the latest BIOS. Everytime I start up, it just says Phoenix AwardBIOS v. 6.00. Am I running version 6 or is ther another number I should be looking at? I also ran a 3D Mark 2005 benchmark and it says that is my version. Here is a link to my board... click here Also, I clicked the BIOS link and wondering what BIOS I should use to flash. I'm assuming the one with the latest date. Thanks in advance. red930 Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 During POST (when it is counting RAM, identifying CPU and such) look in the lower, left-hand corner. The date code you see is your BIOS version.
gatobava Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Thanks Goober, I didn't realize it was that easy. So I seem to be running version 9/10/2003. I want to upgrade to have all lastest features. Do I have to flash all the listed BIOS incrementally or can I just use version 2005/01/20 and it will give me all the features included in all previous versions? click here for available BIOS for my board
red930 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Don't have to flash all of them. Just use the 2005*01/20.
gatobava Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 It worked, Im running version 2005/1/20 now. Thanks for the help. Encountered a few problems though: After loading optimized defaults, it wouldn't recognize HD and then I cleared CMOS to see if that would help (taking out battery for 1 min) then it would just BEEEEEP when I turned on system. Just a reminder for those with a SATA drive, remember to go into BIOS settings under IDE controller device and enable SATA. The beep was when taking out CMOS battery, I unplugged power dongle for graphics card to better get to it, forgot to plug it back in. :shake:
