madian225 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Hi I pre-ordered mine on the 15th February (same place) and no news yet either as to it's intended arrival date. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it is soon and I will eagerly await an e-mail from them confirming dispatch.
day187 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 The Opteron 165 are doing about the same as the 170 and the 175 take a look at the Opteron thread located here (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29656) So save your money and buy a 165, I brought from eBay £212 pound all in, I hate buying from eBay but this as gone through ok. The seller link:http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZfoureverquestQQhtZ-1 Still waiting for my Venus motherboard
mrtell Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I bought an opty 144 1.8 for £94 from scan and that runs at 2.6 on an abit Av8 with only the FSB raised, looking forward to seeing if a DFI board will push it anymore.
Burky Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 The CCBWE 0551 UPMW is a fairly good stepping. It's not as good as a CCB1E or a CCBWE 0550 stepping, but the CCB1Es are no-where to be found in Europe, and the CCBWE 0550s all overpriced. I bought mine off ebay too from a guy who came back from the US with like 4, and tested them himself, and I spoke to him through messenger first to make sure he really knew what he was talking about, and wasn't just some fake. I managed to get mine to 2.6ghz on 1.45v, and the guy on ebay uses his at 2.7ghz at 1.5v I think (all his cpus were the same stepping), so it's not attaining 2.8ghz on stock like the CCB1E series are, but it's still going pretty high. arklab Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 This shop in Canada has them in stock NOW (the Venus boards). Don't know if they ship to England, but they do ship to US. LINK Price is $326 Can. (or $278 USD). If they don't ship, maybe you know someone in Canada or US? Good Luck
