Failed boots to windows?

Zend

Recommended Posts

So, every couple of days or so, my system will decide not to boot, and just hangs at the windows loading screen. I can boot fine in safe mode.

I try lowering the chipset, memory, cpu voltages and speed, raising only the voltages, nothing seems to change. It will only boot once i reload the bios defaults.

This is running at 1.6 volts on the chipset, 3x htt, 1.45-1.55 on the cpu, 250-260 fsb with no ratio.

something like taht happened to me a while back. My system would get stuck after backup cmos before the windows splash screen started. I cleared cmos and set optimized defualts and it still didnt work. I then restarted once more just out of frustration and bingo it worked and hasnt screwed up again since. I don't know what it is, but sometimes things can fix themselves? Dunno how this will help you though... but good luck!
