BlindGuardian Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 The price is definately nice but price points aside. Would you rather go with this G.Skill, the Mushkin or the OCZ Gold or Gamer memory?
jumpman Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Damn, that memory cost 240 bucks here (Argentina :@)

ashtray77 Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Ordered some today. Cant wait for it to show up. Goodbye Corsair value ram!
BlindGuardian Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I ordered some myself today. I hope it works out well, I won't have a system to test them thoroughly unless I pop them in my nf2 for a little bit which I may just do. I wanted the best ram I could get but since Mushkin and OCZ are using the same chips for at this rating I figured I could do no wrong as they would all give the same results, unless QC is much more stringent at the other companies. Also I doubt it would get any better then this price rebate or not, even if DDR and AM2 drives the price down on RAM and thats a big IF. I really hope I did not screw myself getting this ram, I'm planning on running it with an Opty 170.
Trevor Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Yeah I just ordered it just now, The first time I hit submit it had an error. It said something like newegg is having problems blah blah and emptied my cart, the second time it took about 10 minutes to process. Now I'm just hoping they didn't charge the card twice. braineac7542 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I just purchased the memory and noticed that the instant saving is $35 compared to yesterday's $33..lol just thought it was interesting seems like i got a good deal ^^ hope these work OH...when the ram comes, is there any way to test them to see if they are working properly. I was planning on ordering all the parts together but i couldnt pass the deal and im stuck with the ram and the mobo only...is trying the memory and the mobo on my old system the only way to test if its working properly?
