arfett Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I'm running my Opteron 146 at 300x10 with a 180mhz divider (1.475v, 36-38C idle) and my temperatures are just fine since I'm watercooled, but I wouldn't mind it if my processor dropped to a lower speed when my computer is idle for a while so I can idle around 27-30C. Is there any way to safely use software or the cool n quiet function while overclocking?

Kandoo Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I wouldn't, cool and quiet is bad news for OC's.
