watsonte Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I understand and have read much on the issues of cold boots and the SLI-DR Expert especially with OCZ Powerstream Power supplies. My question is then what are my options...Deal with cold boot or buy another PSU and see if it works and in that case are ENERMAX PSU's any good I see a lot of bad reviews and dont want to risk anything in my case just because I have to flip a rocker switch every now and again... Advice.... Also it only has issues if I try shuting off and booting immediately. If I leave it for example over night the following morning it boots a good as if there were no issues. Burleyboy Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 My Enermax has been flawless for almost a year now. I think they are very good psu's. That being said, I still had the cold boot issue on my Expert. Traded it out for the Venus, issue gone. I don't know if it was structural circuitry change or a different bios. I'd give a bios fix a little more time, but also, if they had one you'd think they would have had it out by now. Unless you crash a lot, I've found it isn't much of a big deal.
