Non-sli Multi Gpu Help!!!

can u make a quick paint pic? woul dmake it a lot easier...and no, they do not explaine this in the manual..i looked like 50 times

 

I have placed a Pic for u to see the 3 jumpers that are requred to b moved hope this can help you

Well then if they are not identified properly in the device manager you have to install them properly, otherwise no quad monitors....

OK.....in the bios...under the "PCI EXPRESS CONFIGURATIION" it now says this:

"NC NC X8 X1" i have no idea what this means...

Guys, he has the Ultra-D.

 

@enz660:

 

- Take-out your X300

- Move your 7800GT to the 2nd PCIe slot, the one that is closest to the PCI slots.

- Turn on your machine.

- If you do not get any video, that means the Ultra-D does not activate the 2nd PCIe slot unless you perform the SLI mod on it.

tried that....didnt work. But I dont see why I need to do the SLI mod since the mobo says it supports dual vga cards in nin sli mode. I dooubt they would force you to do the SLI mod to enable something that the mobo should already support.

So you tried the 7800 in the second slot by itself then?

 

Did you try both positions on the jumpers?

 

Have you tried the Sli mod yet?

 

Did you remove/uninstall both Ati and Nvidia graphics drivers prior to trying the card in the other slot?

i shouldnt have to do the sli mod tho..b/c the mobo supports dual gfx cards in non sli mode.

 

 

i sent out an email to the tech support ppl over at dfi, maybe they can help...
