R-Type Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Pardon my ignorance, but with these modern watercooling kits like the swifttech, do you still need to drain the system before transporting it?
Burky Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 You should be ok, so long as you don't try hanging it from a hook by the pipes or anything, and you know that it is totally watertight. (remember the resevoir won't normally be filled to the brim so you won't notice if it's not watertight) That said, better safe than sorry, and it's so effortless (for me anyway) to bleed off the water, that you might as well do it just in case. Grinch Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 yes water made all the difference in the world....pics you are seeing is my 0546XPMW chip which seems to run cooler than my 0550VPMW chip...but yes water made a HUGE difference as well as me popping the IHS off both chips.... my 0546XPMW chip idles at around 24-25C where 0550VPMW chip idles around 30-31C...but both load same temps 36-38C
