GF Duke Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Well i got my expert board the other day. I got it all set up and working fine. What bugged me was that things wernt recognizing my FX60. Dual core was showing in task manager. So the processor was working fine. And i had SLI working fine also. So i decided to flash the bios to the 12/07 version. MISTAKE #1. SLI wouldnt work at all. no matter what i tried. So i flashed back to the original bios. I got it to work except now only one vid card was showing up even though i was in SLI mode. So i figured that id re-install my Vid card drivers. I deleted them. When i got back into windows to re-install my vid card drivers everything is frozen up. No mouse, no keyboard, no way to navigate at all in windows. I'm screwed. Any ides? Shoud i delte my RAID0 array and do a fresh install? I really really dont want to lose my stuff but if i have to i guess thats what i'll do. Thanks Duke

Qbackin Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I just flashed the bios to 12/7 on my expert mobo (see sig) running sli just fine too
SeanDude05 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Have you reinstalled the drivers? I flashed to 12/07, and SLI stopped working, turns out i just needed to Driver clean them then reinstall. IMO, the Expert is way better than ABIT or ASUS, and ive used both.
wevsspot Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Did you do a full CMOS clear and reset after each BIOS flash? Did you reload optimized defaults after you performed the CMOS clear? What method did you use to flash the BIOS? Winflash, T-Mods BIOS cd, command prompt? Please let us know. I'd highly recommend T-Mods BIOS cd. After you get a good BIOS flash make sure to do a full and proper CMOS reset following Ex-Roadie's guide. After CMOS clear, load optimized defaults. Reboot. Once you get back into Windows uninstall your v/c drivers and I would even uninstall the adapters using Device Manager. Reboot into safe mode. Use Driver Cleaner application to completely clean up any residual v/c driver files. Reboot again and load your latest v/c drivers. All should be well.
