They really need to fix / inform people about this issue. I was ready to rma as well... thank you google :)

... any suggestions for an awesome router that will handle lots of connections / bandwidth, QoS, and ISN'T D-LINK??? just thought i'd throw that in since I'm stuck too, hehehe...

Wow.

I just uninstalled that Nvidia network/firewall you were talking about.

There's already plenty of information about this here on the forum, even in a guide many use for a succesful build:

But most importantly it's nice to hear that zodiacboyscorp could solve his problem.

My problem was specifically the SSDP Discovery Service

"Enables discovery of UPnP devices on your home network."

I disabled this service, and even with the Nvidia firewall on, my rig was stable. No more http.sys error. If you look at what "system components" "the service depends on"

there is only one.

HTTP

I couldn't read the blue screen stop errors, had to look at the event viewer (all done through mmc manage - right click my computer, manage) to find the HTTP.sys crash. I honestly haven't seen anything addressing this issue, but Nvidia & Microsoft are the ones to blame, not DFI. This forum is an amazing resource, and I am very happy (and flattered) to be able to help anyone's exteme frustration from paying near $1k for a system that crashes every 5 minutes. Maybe it's a giant corporate conspiracy, maybe it's a bug with dual core, who knows...

I don't play a lot of games, but my 35watt video card does works great for watching my rig run the best processor performance with ASIO I have seen (better than MAC). Realtime, 32+ track, professional studio in a box, I couldn't have dreamed of it 10 years ago. Pro Tools is now a joke. :)
