Regarding this post.....

1. Have you run MemTest five full times test 1-8?

2. Have you run MemTest, test #5 & test #8 for at least 50 loops?

This is the bios test correct? How do you specify which test does how many loops?

Yes you enable this in the Genie BIOS section by enabling the memtest option. You can specify which test after the system reboots and Memtest starts.I don't remember the exact keystrokes at this time. It's on this site , I'll do a search and post back :)

I have prime95 and since its 8 hours ill let it run til I wake up.

Did you run an instance for each code of your CPU ? Check this out -> http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...highlight=prime

4. Have you run the full suite of 3DMark tests (01, 03 and 05)?

Where would I get this? any special instructions?

You can get of these at http://www.futuremark.com . Just install them and run the test. Also get 3DMark06. It's new and I guess the latest and greatest in benchmarking

:)

Quick question, say I do have memory problems after running all the tests, does that mean my memory is bad or it means my settings in bios are bad?

1) Could be one or the other , but hey ! I found this just now , right up your alley as it's all about OCZ memory settings you may find it useful ! Check it out -> http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...ht=stock+thread

2) Is there another system you have access to so you can test the memory out on ?

Hope this helps !

Cheers,

Caspanis

Do you think this will fix my problem?

and also what do you mean by:

@casmello: What is the make, model and firmware version of optical drive you are using?

casmello:

Make ? -> Who (Which company) made your cd/dvd (optical) drive

Model -> What's the model number can be found on top of drive

Firmware -> Every cd/dvd drive has some basic (or not so basic) software installed on its internal chips (no flaming from experts please !) called firmware that controls the drive . What's your firmware version . It should show up on your POST screen right beside the drive description.Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Caspanis
