Connection problems for online gaming

Recommended Posts

lo all,

I recently finished my build the other day of the components listed in sig. Everything runs good, and internet is nice and connected.

The problem ive recently run into is for bf1942 and bf2-demo (online play).

I can start the games ok, and connect to any server i want, but like not even 15 seconds after the server loads and i join the map, im kicked. It'll say "server connection lost" or "disconnected". Doesnt matter which server, I always get disconnected.

ive had suggestions of pinging from run>cmd, so i did that, i got a 0% loss of packets, ive renewd my ip, repaired the network connection.

Next thing to try when i get home from work is seeing if my drivers need updating. (i think)... anyone have any ideas???

I highly doubt its my ISP bcuz using my old pc i could play bf1942 for hours at a time no problems.

Has anyone else ran into similar problems of any kind? I tried searhing b4 posting, but didnt find much relavent to my specific problem.

TIA :) Any ideas/suggestions are much appreciated!

it happends to me too!! im think on switching to marvell lan like icon57 did, but i was thinking.. its lan interface fault (phisical) or stability problem with someting..

are u guys having this problem at stock settings?

PD: sometimes at unstable settings, in windows desktop, i see a tooltip saying my nvidia lan disconnected.. and after 1 sec, y conectes again (its not switch fault or cable).

investigating the problem.

Ok i Think i solved my problems.. maybe, i have two ethernet lan ports on my mobo, i had it plugged into #2, i switched it and put it back in #1 port, also after updating all my drivers, and punkbuster.

After those ideas, i went around the house and reset the cable modem, and reset the router and both switches. I dont know which specific thing it was but for the moment *knocks on wood*, it seems to be working.
