Quadrifoglio Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Hi there, I'm pretty pleased with my new DFI board, performance is good and tweak options simply are the best I have ever seen. I encountered a small problem though. On my other rigs I use Acronis True Image version 8.0 to backup my OS partitions, using the Acronis bootable disk. I have done so without trouble on nVidia nForce3, VIA VT8237 and Intel ICH5R controllers. But with my Raptor on the ATI SB450 controller the bootable disk doesn't recognize the drive. It only recognizes the USB drive to which I want to write the backup. Has anyone encountered the same problem (or similar using Ghost for example)? Thnx in advance... red930 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Have you tried searching the Acronis True Image support forum? http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
brentpresley Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 You MUST use version 9.0. They upgraded the RAID support in that version for the boot CD. I had the same problem with my DFI NF4 until I did the upgrade.
Quadrifoglio Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Thnx for the ideas guys. I don't have a RAID array running on this system, not even multiple drives. Just the Raptor on the ATI controller, nothing else. I found some topics at the WildersSecurity forums, most of them about RAID and/or USB trouble. But I will try some updating and such the following days. Will keep you posted. *edit* No changes in situation. I will try the Silicon Image 3114 controller when I find time.
