MetaMaverick Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 It is normal because this is what happens when it initializes the driver for your ATI based videocard. -k0nsl So does this occur for ATI and nVidia alike...meaning it is how PCIe is initailized? Cause my 9800xt (AGP) on my old system did not flicker. Thanks

Thanks I have experianced the same issue with some nVidia drivers (I cannot remember which version). It's just a driver issue and it happens when the driver is initialized, when it is loaded. -k0nsl
red930 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I have the same issue where it flickers couple of times when loading into the desktop. Didn't have that on my X800GTO before. I'm actually quite happy that i'm not the only one dealing with this, good to know.
cLipz Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Well i have a x1800xt and the only time i have a flicker is when i just installed new drivers and boot with them the first time. When i start up my pc normally it never flickers.
red930 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Flickering is caused by the 2d/3d clock change in the CCC after the login screen.
