KimTjik Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Not bad you posted two threads already about BIOS today! What you're posting is the official BIOS, probably from DFI's homepage: and that's a good BIOS working well in most systems (since you had questions about Tmod's CD in another thread of yours, you actually have that BIOS there too, but with the option of picking either -1, -2 or -3 version, where the third is like an overall version working well with most RAM; I'm using the -2 since I've got BH-5 chip memory). ManGz Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 yes, why i posted it is because im searching for the faulty component in my rig and to make sure it's not because of old bios i want to update. but i don't want to flash into an incompatible version found the faulty component btw. one of my ballistix sticks. just waiting for new ones now ^^
KimTjik Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Oh well, here we go again; "Ballistix seems to be the magic word for tonight's concert" (Zappa is dead, but if he wasn't it might have happened). Sorry to hear. I hope you don't have to wait too long for new ones.
ManGz Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 much problems with ballistix sticks? :/
KimTjik Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 No, not overall. It was more of a joke since there's been serious problems with another kit, the 2x1Gb PC-4000 Ballistix. What I can understand it has just affected that kit, otherwise Ballistix seems to be very populare and having a good reputation. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...light=ballistix Sorry if I scared you, it wasn't my intention. You mean the revision? A1 A2 or A3? or what? :l What decides which version you should use?
RGone Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Nothing really use the official and learn to tweak it for your 3200 Ballistix which can be a pain to get running right. Somewhere in here; months ago, I put a revised 3200Ballistix set of timings. You might search by my user name and Ballistix and find the settings. Don't remember them anymore and Ballistix ain't been in the machine since last spring. RGone... You mean the revision? A1 A2 or A3? or what? :lWhat decides which version you should use?
