Yes, I have dual eVGA 7800 GTs, and the Expert is perfect for the NV5s, they fit perfectly.

If you need, I can help you with the install, as I did two. It's fairly easy actually, it should only take you about 10 minutes with a medium and small size screwdriver.

Unscrew the stock cooler, clean the memory and core with some rubbing alcohol, dry and attach the NV5. There are only 4 screws that attach the NV5 to the 7800, as opposed to about 10 on the stock cooler.

I love the NV5Rev3s. Dropped 10* off both cards from 52 to 42 idle, and never seen them pass 58-59*.

I dont understand, our english must not mix. lol

What is naff, and what is the 12v mod? I have not done any mods to the video cards or the NV5s, and I am seeing the 10c drop.

sorry ill stop using slang english hehe

naff means rubbish

the threads i had read have been going on about how the nv5 does not blow much air and is no better than stock apart from the noise level.

the 12volt mod

some of the guys have chopped the 3 pin 5v connector off and put a mormal molex on so they can run it off 12volts to make it move more air.

I'm VERY happy with mine on my GTX. Here's a very good installation guide:

http://www.pureoverclock.com/article19-2.html

My overclocked GPU used to hit 80 degrees whilst playing far cry with everything on full, now it's running around 68 deg.

The air blowing out the back of the cooler is hot! Feel it...That used to be blowing over my chipset! now it exits out the back of the PC!

Interesting about the 12 volt mod, but don't need it yet!

For the MSI 7800GTX,

Notes; The screwdriver for removing the original HSF needs to be very small, like a jeweller's one.

The power connector took some getting off (pliers and tiny small flat blade screwdriver).

The new power connector plug sits just under the cowling of the fan, it just fits on after installation, but getting it off again whilst the HSF is on might be a problem. So make sure you're happy with the install before you connect the power lead. And for God's sake don't forget to connect it!!!

I've heard of problems with the Heat sink not mating perfectly with the GPU or the memory, mine's fine, but if this happens you can easily file the offending high spots down.
