mean6 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I am currently using the ram in my sig, I was just wondering if it would be better to run this ram http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memo...al_channel_gold since the corsair and dfi seem to conflict. pkilway Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Ok, you're currently using the Corsair and you want to switch since DFI mobo's CAN have a conflicts with Corsair memory? Or you want to switch because your DFI mobo DOES have a conflict with Corsair memory? I personally used Corsair (2 x 512Mb sticks) memory in my system (listed below) and never had an issue. Now when I did upgrade my memory to 2Gb (2 x 1Gb), I found a better deal on the OCZ, but I didn't dump the Corsair because it COULD have a conflict with my mobo (like I said it was working like a dream). mean6 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I am not sure if I could say I am having conflicts, I have just read alot of comments on here about having to run more voltage to the cpu, and overclocking abilities are lowered because the two don't like eachother. I was just wondering if I were to try different ram if it would increase the possibilities of o.c and overall system performance?? Smoken Joe Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I would not botherr if you are memtest stable and happy with oyour memory overclock. I would be looking at 2 GB kits right now unless you are just into benchmark testing.
