No matter what i do i cant pass super-pi on stock settings. I did however run prime 95 and the first core failed. In super-pi after affinity the 2nd core fails. But what confused me is OCCT i tested it for stability is said its ok. I swaped out mb,ram, psu, to no avail. Anyways i was wondering is OCCT stability test really reliable? Fails super-pi immediatly, yes affinity is set. Memtest is perfect. I am going to rma, but oculd it be something i am doing?? Damn OCCT confusing me...Any help. I will send the cpu out probably friday to get replaced.

I pass everything EXCEPT OCCT! It wouldnt run for 5 mins..gives a instability issue.. Seems OCCT is still in beta.. from what I have seen, failing occt does not *necessarily* means there is a problem.. if you can pass 8+ prime then its better than passing occt..

but is strange u pass SPI in one core and prime in the other core..

omg i think that is the problem

but i did fail my prime 95 on the first core....but i was running the mem at a 1/2 ratio....

I am an idiot. So so so stupid. I will run the prime 95 test again. Using only stock settings. But before it do, i will test my highest clock.

WOW, im stupid. WOW

Thank you!

Ok, i have set my voltage to stock 1.35v, and my htt to 280, i pass 2m super pi

I will do my 32 million passes tomorrow, for now though i set htt to 290, windows no boot.

Increase voltage to 1.375v and boot in to windows, superpi fails on first core. Isn't it usually the second core to fail? Well, i will up my voltage to 1.4v brb. I do however want to achieve 2.5ghz on stock voltage, prime95 stable so i will run 24 hours of prime at 2.4ghz and increment to 2.5ghz. I have done this on an single core, and it worked for me. Hope to use this procedure, any one know if it works on the dual core, my speculation it'll take a 48hr burn in.

BRB i will up the voltage and try 4m.

Is there someway i can run super-pi to automatically choose the affinity, i try adding the -A1 command it dont work? Also should i use the percentage values on the vcore only after the 1.55v range, or is it better to use it earlier? Like i set vcore=1.35 and %=1.06 and obtain 1.43, is that better than just using 1.43 straight from vcore and no %???
