Voltage questions...

Recommended Posts

I've noticed a discrepency with my new eXpert board (between bios and software), as well as an odd quirk.

First off, if I don't use a voltage modifier, no matter how high I ramp the voltage it doesn't work, but if I use a voltage modifier, even well under what I was setting it to (base vcore) it would work and be stable... like... we are talking 2.5Ghz wouldn't prime at 1.55vcore, but it would at 1.44 if I used a voltage modifier. Didn't matter how, where, or what... it just required a voltage modifier. Period. I've tested this a few times at various core clocks and vcores and it keeps coming to the same conclusion...

Next up. CPU-Z always says the voltage is roughly .02 under what bios says. What do I believe?

Aighty, everything that reads it from windows says 1.52, bios says 1.54. Either way, 2.6Ghz, with load temps with both cores maxed at 44c. I really can't complain... at all... I cna try.. if you want me to... but hey. Thanks for the answer, lowboy.
