Having Issues with sound

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I'm new to the board, I have a sound issue with my onboard sound and my 5.1 speakers and my microphone. Here is a " best I can do " to explain my problem.

I Have an nF4 Ultra-DAGF along with some Logitech 5.1 speakers ( not sure on the full model spec ).

Anyhow I have downloaded the newest nvmixer from Nvidias website. I have used the program in nvmixer called " Speaker Wizard " to help me set up my speakers so that I get 5.1 sorround sound. Now the issue is that now when I got to plug in my mic to speak, nothing comes out. As if the mic was muted ( which is not ).

In otherword my whole speaker set has 3 cables. 1 is pink, 1 is green, and one is black. I matched these cables with the back of my computer, and all done. But like I said when I go to plug in my mic to speak on programs like Ventrilo and such I can't. The mic port is the pink one, on the speaker I think that is the L or R speaker.

So my question is what is going on  . I'm lost as to how I can fix this ... I set my speakers up and they work fine, but after I do I can't use my mic anymore. Any help would be greatly appriciated, if you are having trouble with this please let me know and I will try to answer the question to my best of my knowledge. I know somewhere out there is an easy fix for this .. help me find it =P

Thanks for your time :)
