Thanks in advance!

mobo: used lanparty ultra-d ~$100 (pretty sure)

cpu: used venice 3200 ~$125 (pretty sure)

ram: need help deciding on a 1gig kit ~$150

vid card: 7800 gt - (to expensive need something closer to $200)

hdd: used 80gb - $45 (sure)

is your current computer the one on ur sig?? then its good enough! be patient and wait for M2 if ur budget's only $750 for now.... its not worth upgrading to somethin else on top of that Venice, when M2 is gonna come out in a few months and it will lower the prices of other AMDs.

you dont "need" a computer right now. what you do is a good video card. if i were you, i'll wait a couple of weeks till 7900 comes out, 7800GT drops thier price, get that one. spend the rest on 2x1Gb kit memory, and if anythings left (im sure there is), get 2x Hitachi 80gb or 2x Seagate 80Gb and put them on RAID.

if ur sig is actually what ur gonna spend $750 on, than thats crap dude. get an Infinity SLI, get a 7800GT, keep the CPU, get more RAM. in the next 6-8months, get another 7800GT.

Dont flame me for writing those here (just my $0.02 if I was gonna build a new one today):

first take a look at this: you can get a beautiful Lian-li pc-65 case, 2 optical drives, and tt 480 watt for ??? (depends on communication b/w u and him) - lets say $185.

mobo: used lanparty ultra-d $100

cpu: used venice 3200 - $120

ram: gskill 2gb HZ - $200

vid card: 7800 gt - $270

hdd: used 80gb - $45

xp-90: $30

panaflo 92mm: $10

total: $960 - very good system though. You can cut $100 by selecting 1gb ram and another $100 if you go with used 6800 or x800gto2/x850 vid card.

Hope it helps...

ok to be more specific then (as far as I can help):

case: something in this line - http://www.dealsonic.com/skmssialatxm.html ($55)

psu: http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=BA21190 ($70)

ram: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41159 (YMMV)

vidcard: reconsider that $70 difference otherwise, not for advertisement but fyi, here is mine or go with 6800 series. to be honest another seller is asking for around $20 less than my price - just search...

Take a look at ebay / anandtech forums / and of course here - You can find everything - just be little bit patient.

Good luck
