i_wheeldon Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Hi, As you can all see in my sig im running it @ 2550 (255x10) but i can get 2600 out of it and it works fine except Core 0 (first 1) errors out in Prime95 whereas core 2 is happy all the way to 2700 and behond. I was hoping for 2.6-2.7 out of it and was wondering if the thermal paste im using could be a weak link. Im using the one that comes free with the XP-120 cause i persumed it would be a good one. But is there better stuff out there that will give me better cooling and m,ay help me get that 2600 stable? I put it upto 1.508V bt dont want go any higher than that and core one lasted a little longer but not much. Cheers for any ideas you have
Messudieh Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 If you're running a thermalright XP-120, I don't think the extra half (maybe) degree that Arctic Silver 5 will lower your temps will do anything significant. The only thing I can think of is to raise your voltages a little more, but you might just be near the limit of those cores.
