G.Skill HZ/Any other UCCC (2x1024) 260+ please post here

Recommended Posts

hellasvagabond You have already a great overclock.

You could put higher timings : 3-5-5-10 to get up to 280 but for what ?

In our days the GPU matters far more than the CPUs mhz.

Specifically i got 3fps increase in most games going from 2000 to 2500mhz.

Not worth it if you ask me.

Put your ram at 3-4-4-7-1T and leave it like that.

I dont think I have a great overclock. Because I see some people having 2600 or 2700.

Thats as good as it gets with a newcastle, ask me how I know...

Okay...how do you know?

umm sig.

Also there is a thread going on right now at xtremesystems.org that is discussing this. Not to mention that you have to push no less than 1.6v(if that) if your even tryin to get anything over 2700, although peeps have had some decent OC's using phase or dry ice.

after reading each pages here, can assume that most UCCC chippy able to do less 300HTT but can do more than 275HTT :)

Most do around 260MHz or a little more or a little less. Your not going to see 275MHz+ very often on UCCC now.

Mine did 270Mhz pretty easily. I haven't really tried for anything further because I'm maxing out my processor right now and I don't care to test the RAM just for the sake of testing the RAM. I tried 280Mhz a few times but never got it stable. It might be possible with more work, but I can't say for sure.

I have mine running at 290 MHz. All RAM settings are default settings with the exception of Trc (Row Cycle Time). This was changed from default of 07 to Auto. Also the voltage is cranked up at 2.8 volts. These two minor changes allowed me to run 290 Mhz (580 MHz effective). Memtest86+ stable for 7 iterations or 7+ hours.

Who runs theirs at 300 MHz or more? Just wondering.
