Guys is 1.4 Volt enough or too much for an 3800x2 running at 2500mhz ?

Also should i have Startup Value also at 1.4V or at Auto and whats the best setting for the CPU VID Special Control ?

Currently i have 1.4v and 104% but im asking for your opinions.

Also has anyone tried the Odd Dividor option in the Bios ? Should i Enable it or leave it Disabled ?

I almost forgot to ask what settings you have under Dram Responce Time.

I have it Fast , should i make it Faster ?

You have already a great overclock.

You could put higher timings : 3-5-5-10 to get up to 280 but for what ?

In our days the GPU matters far more than the CPUs mhz.

Specifically i got 3fps increase in most games going from 2000 to 2500mhz.

Not worth it if you ask me.

Put your ram at 3-4-4-7-1T and leave it like that.

Nah, we are here to overclock :shake: and not to ran a stock set up! Why don’t you browser through the entire post and try all the different settings and timings people use! I’m sure you will find something you can use! BTW the most people can’t pass 270 MHz! Good luck!

Man oh man...woke up this morning, crossed my fingers and turned on my monitor to be greeted with Prime95 still running...Cool. Use the john, brush the teeth and ker-slammage to my buzz of 3 minutes prior. Failure after 10 hours and 48 minutes  Glad I didin't stop it cuz I was gonna spend a little time trying to tighten up my settings at 264. Oh well, I know I'm close...this HZ stuff is a pain the arse ;)

Try running Windows Memtest. It will be a lot faster then Prime95 and do a better job of testing the memory. Let two iterations run to at least 1,000%+.

I dont think I have a great overclock. Because I see some people having 2600 or 2700.
