Im aware these red lights go from 4 lights down to no lights during post. But i saw three lights showing when in windows. I reset my comp and im back to no lights again. Is this something i should worry about ? is the board faulty ?

You were in window and still had leds showing if so how many and is it still doing it.

Here is the way to read the Diagnostic LEDs.

4 LEDs on = Power applied

3 LEDs on = CPU has been detected OK

2 LEDs on = RAM has been detected OK

1 LED on = VGA has been detected OK

0 LEDs on = System has booted to the Operating System.

As long as you are in the BIOS including running memtest from the BIOS option, there will be one LED on.

If you are getting 3 LEDs on, it means the rig is having trouble detecting the RAM.

Do u get this all the time?

If you do, I think you should worry about it.. I saw a similar problem here on the thread.. and I think he was adviced to RMA the board.. I;m not sure.. but as far as I remember.. do a search and see...

Well, so far, ive only seen it happen once, that was after exiting a game of bf2, leaving the room and then coming back. I saw a mixture of orange and red leds and thought it was a tad strange what with it still being in windows, as i thought these red leds were strictly for diagnostics during boot. Anyway, i reset and havent seen it happen again since ? The board and system as a whole seems stable, so i dont know if i should worry or not...A response from admin would be appreciated, if possible. thanks.
