but theres only one connector for hd light activity on the mobo....

is there anyway i can put onelight for one of the drives and another seperate light for the other drive?

(both of my drives are seagate barracuda sata)

i wonder what the 4 pins on the sata is for

but then again the hd light is only 2 pins.

each led is 2 pins

ok so you solder, connect one side of the leds leg, to pin 39 on an ide cable, and the other side to a +5 volt line using a 100 ohm resistor :)

same instructions i used on my xbox :)

as to which sides to connect, well i always forget, so look up some tutorials, since this is a pc, i dont recommend this, but if your willing to try first on perhaps an older pc, go ahead

good luck

Difficult to do on a SATA cable and drive...

The mobo's HD activity output is for the entire hd controller...PATA, SATA and ATAPI. Some PCI controllers have LED output for each drive.
