Phfor Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Ok, I go through a PCS, from kadena AFB to Holloman AFB. It takes those losers 3 months to ship my stuff here. Today my comp arrived, and... COLD BOOT. I press power, it gets power, no post. I move the ram, remove the ram, cant even get a beep out of it. Ive checked to see that everything is installed/plugged in. Right now, the jumper is on CMOS clear, battery is removed, and its sitting there unplugged. Ill try again tomorrow, unless someone can give me a better hint... From what i have read on these forums it pays to perform a cmos clear when building a new PC.

SeanDude05 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Try heating the board with low heat from a hairdryer. I used to have cold boot issues with the RAM on my old video card, and if I heated it for 30 seconds with a hairdryer, it would boot fine.
