Volts and temps when oc:ing

Recommended Posts

Okay just wondering...

I´m doing 2.6 with my cpu and volts are 1.55, temp is less than 40 when torturing...

Question is:

Is it safe to raise volts if my temp is like 40?

What is more important, to have low temps or low voltages when overclocking?

Try not to go over 50c or 1.6v on air.

I personally like to keep volts as low as possible. 40C isn't hot at all, so you could go up to 1.6 without issue I would think.

BTW, do you really need 1.55v, or did you just set it to that?

They are not mutually exclusive, you need to keep both in line.

Low Volts + High Temp = Dead CPU

&

High Volts + Low Temp = Dead CPU
