I don't smoke or drink. I did a bit in college but that was a 15 years ago. I also cut all sodas out of my diet a few years ago. My ony real vice is Starbucks and spending too much money on compter stuff. And spending the $10K I saved for a move to Hawaii on a 10 day resort vacation with my girlfriend who left me and moved back to Sweden, but that is another story for another thread. red930 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Honestly, I do not go to Starbucks to get coffee. Jitter Bean Coffee Company, a local business, suits my simple needs just fine. Bought one of their mugs for $16. Everytime I bring it in, the coffee (with 2 sugars and cream) costs me $1.35 instead of the regular price of $1.85. 5 days a week x 52 weeks x $1.35 = $351 per year. That's the site :nod: thanks I've done studies on how much cigarettes cost and I've also seen a study on how much Starbucks costs. A financial adviser named David Bach was holding a seminar and a heckler said "well I don't have the money to save", so he said "well what do you do every day?" to which she replied saying she went to Starbuck's everyday in the morning, and always got a latte and a scone or something, and she always went to lunch every day too. He figured out that all the money she was spending every day, if put in an investment, could've gotten her millions of dollars. :eek2: And if I may be so bold, I think investing all your money in a single stock is very unwise investing.
