Shipping bios

Recommended Posts

Just finished build, happy as a clam until this morning. Tried to play steam based games to no avail. Used all the patches and hot fixes i read on these and other forums, nothing. My nextt guess would be that maybe i need to update the bios to the newest version (not beta tho) and see if that helps anything (Im still using the bios that came with the board originally.) If someone can post the latest bios thats not beta i would be very appreciative ( If its the one on the dfi homepage then nevermind ) The only other thing is i have never used winflash so any tutorial or sticky that anyone knows about that gives me knowledge base would be helpfull. Just as a side note, i ran memtest for 18 hours with no problems/errors. So any help or direction to a particular sticky or guide would be very helpfull. Ty.

the exact problem is that when steam starts it crashes, and then i have to reboot.

I have a option in my registry to automatically close nonresponsive programs and that doesnt even work, i have to reboot in order to get out of game. There is no error message, jsut a repeating sound then a black screen with that same repeating sound. Alot of people i know with this same setup have the same problem and no real solution has been psoted on the steam forums either, So i have no other place to turn but the forums. Like i said in the above psot i have been trowling all forums to try and find an answer and the same thing is repeated over and over, hot fix, amd driver, edit registry, edit boot ini, or set affinity to jsut one core (doesnt that jsut negate the whole point of having a dual core? ) So help would be appreciated and I jsut finished flashing bios to whatever version was on the dfi home page but ill look into what you posted above. Once again any help would be very appreciated.
