calvintang Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 ok... what if i got a short clip from the net? ( i just read about the ati hd tuner card)
cdidhe Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Yes you can watch 720p and 1080i (hdtv) on your pc. You can also watch them on a standard 480 tv also, but to get the true high def experience you should get a hdtv w/out built in hd tuner and a good set top box. (Which is the only way besides off air to receive and decode the signal.) Best picture quality there is... way better then any dvd
Redbeaver Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 then get k-lite codec pack it plays any kind of media files. and ur x700 should be good enough. and as long as that cpu stays above 2.4Ghz, ur ok. HD clips with res around 1280xX requires 2.4Ghz minimum.

calvintang Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 can you go closer to the screen... looks sharp even from that distance by the way the k-lite codec pack is a standalone product?
Redbeaver Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 1. calvin, learn how to edit ur post...... 2. a standalone? it has its own player yes, and will instal all codecs required, plus quicktim and realmedia if u get the megapack. so i guess so..... i used it for a few years now, and ive never touch windows media player ever again.......
