obsolete Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hello, System is in my sig, kind of having a hard time OC'in this bad boy. Currently have my memory set to 7-3-3-2.5, 2.9 & 3.0 vdimm. CPU (stock vcore, 1.4) is at 7x250 with LDT multi at 3x (tried 2x & 2.5x). FSB is 250 & I'm having a hard time getting stable there or even higher. The memory should go the distance on this board. Memory is in slots 1&3.......(6/23 bios) Sempron is a E6 stepping. Any suggestions for settings on this memory? Am I just asking to much out of the setup I have? cmay119 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Raise your Vcore .25v and raise your cas latency to 3 and see if that gives you a little more head room. The TCCD/5 stuff shouldn't require that much DRAM Voltage to get them running. From what I've heard as well the Samsung stuff runs HOT even at lower DRAM Voltage, perhaps a fan over the ram will get you to where you want to be. Good luck. EDIT: I know you've listed the tCL, tRCD, tRAS and tRP. But what do you have set for the secondary timings in the Genie section? If you have them all set to auto, this could be a major reason why you're not getting a very good OC out of your memory. EDIT 2: Nice to see another Minnesota native on here. obsolete Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Whoot for MN...... All the other timings are on auto, figured those were for the hard core tweakers which I'm not........ I've read a lot of posts of people using 2.5-2.7 vdimm with tccd, but windows won't even boot for some reason...... I have 120mm fan pushing air across the memory so they should be ok as far as that goes. Thanks for the input, I'll try some other things now.
