Tigraa Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hello All, i have a very strange case,, Every thing was working fine with me untill I moved and i took my pc with me but without the case and the power supply, i purchased this power supply now ( Cooler Master Real Power 550W Rs-550-ACLY) www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=RS-550-ACLY&other_title=+RS-550-ACLY+Real%20Power%20550 and no case. i connected all of the four plugs and switch on,, now everything is ok except that i have red mask on the monitor under windows or in bios. it looks like there is a red filter on the screen and sound is off, i have installed the drivers and it works but no sound out. So anybody has an idea.? thanx in advance.
SageI Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Sounds like either your graphics card or your monitor is bad. Make sure you have your graphics card to monitor plugged in good. Test your system with a different monitor.
Guest Seeker Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Put everything in a case.. Having a gfx card dangling from your PCI-E slot is not very safe. Good choice on the PSU by the way

Tigraa Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Any Help Please??
THunDA Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Since you have this problem in bios and windows it cant be a driver or windows problem.. Its got to be something hardware related.. If all your power plugs are secure then you need to do a little process of elimination.. But for that your going to need some extra parts.. I would try another video card first.
