New dual core build, indecison is killing me!

OK, I am ready to take the plunge to dual core and would like some recommendations.

I have two 2GB kits of memory on hand already, will use the one that clocks best and sell the other with my “old” system. OCZ gold GXT and OCZ platinum

I am 95% sure I am going to buy a new Expert series mobo for this new build, and for power supplies either the Fortron 700W or the OCZ 600 W

I am not sure which processor to get, will be either an Opty 170 or 175, or X2 4400 or 4800. This is the biggest point of indecision for me.

The whole system is going to be watercooled, with DD TDX block on the processor, Maze low profile on the GPU, and the new DD chipset block. I will use my Exos 2 for pump/radiator.

Any suggestions, comments?

I would get the fortron and either 170 or 4400+ cheaper cpu and will clock as well as the higher priced cpu. And the fortron has true 50A on 12v rails. If you have money to burn get the more expensive cpus but they don't show to clock any better. From what I've been seeing the 170 would be my choice.

Thanks lowboy, thats the way I was thinking, but I wanted confirmation from someone who keeps up to date with this stuff a bit better than myself. I haven't been able to spend as much time checking the forums lately so I am trying to catch up.

edit: I just noticed in your sig that you are using the same case as I plan on using for my new build, how is it?
