nIne1one Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Hello Im about to build my system today and jsut wondered if there is anything else witht he dfi board i should know. I read Angrys Inital Build, i also read someones guide on here on what should be done on each boot before i even begin to assemble my system in my case. Um this is my first dfi board and any other tidbits of information would be greatley appreciated. here is whats going in for now. dfl lanpart nf4 sli-dr x24400 7800gtx wd 80 ide hd 1 gig (2x512) ocz el pc3200 plat. rev 2. liteon cd/dvd 520 ocz psu. thermal. xp-90 w/90m vantec. 6 case fans. so any other info that might help would be nice. But i think i got what i need, but it never helps to ask. Ok i did find a question, in one of the setupguids i read on here, it was a setup similar to what ed jacobson did, but i have a extra step. On the second boot the article said to turn on escd to verify dmi pool. Then hook up the hd/optical drive. Then on third boot disable escd. Ed jacobson's guide didnt mention that step, Is this a necessary step? Should i bypass it? Or should i do it that exact waY?
