GeFeldz Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Hello, my board (system specs in sig) has decided to not allow me more than 3.20 volts on the RAM. This happens with the official 310P bios, the 5.10-2 bios and the 702-2 bios. I've used the extended range up to 4 volts before and the jumpers are where they should be. I think i used an older beta bios then. I am also trying this with a non-default VCore voltage, so that's not the problem. Any ideas? Edit: The problem isn't that the setting won't take, the problem is that the option isn't even there for 3.3, 3.4,..., 4.0 like they should be. The list goes from 2.50-3.20 and that's it. Am i alone with this problem?
Tabletop Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Is your CPU voltage set to something besides AUTO? This is part of enabling the higher DIMM voltages in addtion to the jumper setting.
Gipse Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hi, please make sure that you set the jumper correctly: Good luck! Gipse
GeFeldz Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Thank you for the reply, but to clarify, the 4v jumper is in the correct position for overvoltage operation. I've verified this and reset it to default and back to 4v maximum again just to be sure.
GeFeldz Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I'm beginning to suspect that it's something hardware related, so i'm going to take it to my local shop and borrow their equipment so i can do a proper troubleshooting, eliminating everything around the motherboard. I'm lucky in that i can use their stuff to do this, i'd rather have my own spare everything to troubleshoot with though =)
