wellswarrior73 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I overclocked my 7800gt with this guide here i clocked it to 439/1150 and got worse reslut in 3dmark06. before i overclocked it i had a score of 4010 with stock, then i used the overclock part in the nvidia drivers and got a score of 4164, and with the new way i got a score of 3994. did i do something wrong? i changed the settings with the program save it to the floppy and loaded it in dos so how would i get a lower score? malvare1 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 man you just flashed you card... you might want to follow instructions to reflash with original bios.
Smoken Joe Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 You post is not very clear what were your speeds the second time? A table might help. Â Â Try pulling your overclock back a little and see if it doesnt help often with video cards you will get an error which will hurt your score even if you do not see it. Â What are the before and after temps also?
hollywoodcole Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Yeah like malvare1 said, flash your card back to your original bios. Â Also just use coolbits and the nvidia overclock setting to up ur speed. I did this and gained almost 400 points in 3DMark05. Budwise Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 for modding the bios to 1.5v like you did, you really need better than stock cooling too...
