Best AGP graphics card

Well, I have an old rig that I'm replacing with my new build (see below). I am looking to turn the old one into a media PC, and most likely need to upgrade the old 9600XT card in it. It's an IC7-G AGP board with a P4 2.8GHz. I have two questions for ya'll.

1) What is the best graphics card for an AGP media PC disregarding cost?

2) I will also use my PC instead of a CD player and want to upgrade the sound card. What would be a good sound card for this?

i like the ATI All In Wonder X800XT 256 meg vid card. and it's got a very reasonable price tag. comes with all the goodies, like remote wonder II, the new VIVO filter chip, and if your TV has component video in, this card has component video out.

only downside is that it's not supported by winxp media center... but i think there's enough other front ends out there that run on winxp that it makes little difference to me.

but, if you're really wanting to run winxp media center 2005, there are some very interresting new options.

none of them will run under winxp media center edition as they don't have hardware mpeg2 encoding....

but like i stated b4, i think there are enough front end apps to run your AIW attributes, like radio, DVR, pause live tv, remote control, and other things... that winxp media center edition isn't needed to have a 10 foot interface on a tv set.

I wasn't really planning on running Media Center. I have the old copy of XP Home for my old rig, and will put my XP Pro on my new one.
