Ozan Baseski Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I am using the computer in my signature for a few months. Everything was ok at the beginning but 10-15 days ago problems start to show up while booting. Here's my new problem. When I first boot my computer it usually doesn't boot and stays with 3 red leds on. I then shut off and remove one sticj near the cpu socket and then the machine boots fine. I again shut down after a successful booting and replace the ram in its place and it usually boots up fine. But this problem continues everyday. I tried with tccd and value ram also and there's no difference. I tried with air cooling too but the result is the same. And sometimes when it hangs up with 3 lights on and nothing on the screen, I push the power button to shut it down but after 2 seconds I realize that the leds turn off and the system powers up. But this last one occurs very rarely. So anybody can help me with my problem? I sometimes also hear about booting with dual channel ram with this expert board. Ozan Baseski Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I forgot to say that I flashed my bios to the last official 07/12 bios of the Expert. But still no change
boatasiaus Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Have you run memtest on the individual sticks of ram?
Ozan Baseski Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I checked all the rams I used one by one on the far orange slot with memtest and they are fine. I checked them with prime also. System usually hangs with dual ram, I sometimes have to loosen the timings to 2T in order to boot it. And of course the overclock capacity of my system is really diminished too. boatasiaus Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Are you overclocked or is this at stock?
Ozan Baseski Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I returned to stock speeds since this problem happenned. I can't overclock anymore even if I want to now. The machine won't boot up regularly on stock speeds.
