jimbobaggies Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Hi, In the ITE Smart Guardian I can control the CPU fan / Chipset fan speeds, if I then connect fans to the 2/3/4/5 headers, are all their speeds then controlled by the PWM IC fan section (which currently reads 0000rpm) in the Smart Guardian? Thanks in advance, Jim.
lowboy Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 No. And its best not to install any fans to mobo.
EdLSmith Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 The control pin on headers 4 & 5 are not connected on the Ultra-D anyway.

lowboy Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Best to give mobo all the power and not to fans. Run fans off fan controller that way you have control over fans. Seen to many fan headers burn't out by HO fans.
