saurongt Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I have a question regarding the ram voltage setting. Basically, in bios it is currently set to 2.7, but it displays (both bios and mbm) from 2.74 to 2.78. Whenever i increase the voltage to 2.8, it does a similar thing, going as high as 2.88. The setting for +.03V is disabled. My ram's warranty will be voided if the voltage on it exceeds 2.9v, so will setting it to 2.9 from bios (consequently raising its indication to 2.98 or whatever) actually void it? Which should i trust more, the setting or the indication? Thank you.
Gipse Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Hi, get a dmm and search for the measuring points on the board (you´ll find a thread here in the forums). Gipse
Sharp Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Hello, Just keep the BIOS value on 2.7v (2.74 - 2.78), your memory should not need more than that. Yes going over does void the warranty.
