Another CM Stacker purchase advice needed!

So I pretty much have my eyes set on either the STC-T01 (Original) stacker or the 810 stacker. For the record, I don't want the 830 because I can't justify paying $100 more than the other two stackers, not because I don't think it looks nice or will perform great :D .

Now, I am leaning more towards the CM 810 Stacker since I don't have a need for the second PSU slot and the extra 120mm fan is always welcomed. My question is two-fold:

1) What fan connectors (3-pin or 4-pin) are the stackers? I'm asking for both the original and the 810.

2) Is there a reason to go for one stacker over the other? To be honest, they both look great. At Newegg, the difference in price between the two is only 50 cents so that's why I'm asking :)

I know there are plenty of stacker owners at the DFI forum, so please don't be shy! Going to buy the case soon so suggestions/opinions are greatly appreciated.

edit: Had the Antec P180. Great case, but moving on while giving the P180 to my little brother (wanted more room for build).

The fans in the stacker 810 are 4 pin.

Like you I couldn't justify $100+ for the 830. I also did not need the space for the extra PS.

It is nice to have that much room in the case. The MB looks so tiny with all that room around it. I have found absolutely no drawbacks for the 810.

Outside of the PS and fan differences, the only other thing I found is that you cannot use the crossflow fan on the 810. This was not a big deal for me, but wanted to give you a heads up. Alos, it you didn't notice the original stacker and the 810 do NOT have a slide out MB tray (the 830 does). But with all the room a slide out tray is a bit of overkill!

Good luck with your choice, which ever way you go.

Thank you for the response, Monk0101. Just what I was looking for :). I guess I have to go buy some 4-pin splitters now since I don't have enough 4-pin molex to connect all the fans and drives. The splitters split the power (duh) of a single 4-pin, but the CM Stacker fans are low powered for the most part, so I should be okay if the fans are connected to the splitters? I assume I shouldn't be connecting hard drives and the like to the splitters for the chance of fluctuation of power or instability?

The fans on the Stacker have already got a splitter (like most fans that come with a case). If I recall I connected the top and the back fans to the same single molex from the PS. The front fan is part of the 4 in 3 drive cage. Like you said, the power consumption is low enough it should not bother anything. Also, you have enough room in the case to get "creative" with wiring it you want to be cautious.

You are going to be amazed at the room in the case. I have fairly large hands and getting to the battery or the jumper to reset the bios was always a challenge. I think with this case, I could reach the battery, the jumper, or the front panel connectors with my feet, if I was coordinated enough.

Can you or someone check to see if all the fans or just the 2 rear fans have splitters? Sorry for the hassling, but I just need to make sure if I need to grab some 4-pin splitters when I buy the case that's all.

And yes, the pics at Newegg are amazing. I'm sure the pics don't do the case justice as I've seen other people sworn over the CM Stackers here in the DFI Forums. About to pull the buy trigger soon on the case, getting all jittery. I hope this case will be as great as everyone have said! :)
