I am also a complete noob to overclocking too but i dont intend to do any right now. ludeboy12 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 if your planning on overclocking then i would suggest u get the x2 4400 instead of the 4800.....the price/performance ratio is a lil better w/ the 4400 i think.... other than that everything looks good to me.... ludeboy12 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 ya an opteron would be nice too....much cheaper and they seem to clock very nice.... opty 170 is the way to go.....well at least i think so...i wouldnt want the 9x multiplier that comes w/ the 165. its all about 10x300......
