catkicker Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I have my Nf3 rig up and running. I have some Buffalo firestick PC4000 I'm using with it. anyone have any experience with OC'ing hynix b type mem on the Nf3 boards? I'm not sure where to start as far as settings go for this MEM. Would like to get going and stable and it's rated speed of DDR500. I'll be shooting for 3GHz. on the processor. I know theres a few that have used this on the Nf4 boards. I know this MEM is more suited for intel but I'm stuck with it for now.

CPDMF Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I believe that is the same as my Ballistix Tracer PC4000. It will go beyond 250 easy enough. The settings I used are: Enabled 2.5 4 8 3 8 16 3 3 2 3 3072 1 Enabled Decrease skew 0 Level 2 7 5.5 256 16X 7X Disable 2.9 volts seemed to be the sweet spot for them. smolt Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Thanks for the info smolt...and you can treat them just like BH-5 only like you said there sweet spot is 2.9  had them on KVR there grate. But im afrade catkicker in for some fun. these boards dont take a liking to hynix easy Man only other memory sticks i find them hynix b on is OCZ EL DDR PC4400 Gold Edition - Samsung TCCD/Hynix B so if them timmings dont work for you might look in the data base for someone with them and try there settings
catkicker Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Something I also noticed which I don't remember being a problem before. The temp readings in bios and MBM5 are way lower then what I'm setting them at in the bios. I currently have dram V at 2.8V and it reading 2.4 approx. that a big gap. I'm thinking I have TicTac Bios don't remember date/version. have to go check OC'ing data.
